Tracked hydraulic excavators are earthmoving machines that use a bucket to excavate materials above or below the machine's bearing surface and load them into transport vehicles or unload them at a stockpile. The materials excavated are mainly soil, coal, silt, and pre-loosened soil and rock. From the perspective of the development of construction machinery, excavators have developed relatively rapidly, and as one of the most important types of construction machinery, the correct selection of an excavator is even more crucial. They are specialized mechanical equipment widely used in mining and urban and rural construction, featuring advanced performance and unique technology.
A typical excavator structure includes a power unit, working device, slewing mechanism, control mechanism, transmission mechanism, traveling mechanism, and auxiliary facilities. From an external perspective, an excavator consists of three main parts: the working device, the upper turntable, and the traveling mechanism.
1. Excavators are fixed assets requiring significant economic investment. To extend their service life and maximize economic benefits, the equipment must be assigned to specific personnel, machines, and positions with clearly defined responsibilities. When a job reassignment is necessary, a thorough equipment handover must be conducted.
2. After the excavator enters the construction site, the operator should first observe the geological conditions of the working face and the surrounding environment. There must be no obstructions within the excavator's turning radius to prevent scratches or damage to the vehicle.
3. After the machine is started, no personnel are allowed to stand inside the bucket, on the boom, or on the tracks to ensure safe production.
4. While the excavator is operating, no personnel are allowed to work, stay, or walk within the turning radius or under the bucket. Non-operators are prohibited from entering the cab to touch or tamper with equipment, and trainees are not allowed to bring trainees to the cab to prevent damage to electrical equipment.
5. When moving the excavator, the operator should first observe the surroundings and sound the horn before moving it to avoid accidents caused by people near the machine. The repositioned location must ensure that there are no obstructions within the excavator's turning radius. Unauthorized operation is strictly prohibited. 6. After work is completed, the excavator should be moved away from low-lying areas or the edge of trenches (ditches), parked on level ground, and doors and windows closed and locked.
7. Drivers must perform daily maintenance, inspection, and upkeep of the equipment, keep daily records of equipment use, and report any problems with the vehicle immediately before operation.
8. The cab must be kept clean and tidy, and the vehicle body surface must be kept clean, free of dust and oil stains; drivers should develop the habit of wiping down the vehicle after work.
9. Drivers must keep daily shift records, compile statistics on the day's work, and promptly complete and record any odd jobs or minor tasks outside the project for accounting purposes.
10. Drivers are strictly prohibited from drinking alcohol at noon or driving under the influence of alcohol during work hours. If discovered, a fine will be imposed, and any resulting economic losses will be borne by the individual.
11. For vehicle damage caused by human error, the cause must be analyzed, the problem identified, responsibilities clarified, and fines imposed according to the severity of the responsibility.
